SPIRIT OF ENTERPRISE 2005 AWARD WINNER

A few months ago, one of our clients (Dive Junkie) has surprised us by nominating us into a prestigious competition - Spirit of Enterprise. I met up with Ms. Joanne Wang, our nice student interviewer and we had a good chat over lunch. She asked me some questions about our business, my philos and overall enterpreneur-talks. In fact, I was pretty speechless because all we did is to try harder in making better solutions for customers.

As we got to know the nominees list, it was shocked to see that one of our competitors was being nominated too. Kudos to them but I keep my fingers crossed. You see, they seems to be more impressive in showing off their achievements while I was more personal and try to speak from my heart. And since this is the first time that we are competing directly with our fiercest rival, my fingers ache even more.

Soon, I heard from my staff that Russell Miller called. He's the Chairman of SOE and he would like to congratulate me for being one of the award winners. I was in seventh heaven then and I went to tell all my wife, dad, mom, brother, sister... almost everyone I could think of. This is a important milestone for us and signify that everyone's hardwork has paid off with this recognition.

On Friday, 23rd September 2005, all of us went to Grand Hyatt for the award ceremony. The award is given by President SR Nathan and when I went up to receive the award, I was so happy that I could make my parents and family proud. And since my little girl is there, I was even more happy that my girl could see her dad receives an award from the President of Singapore.
